New Mexico dirt, Colorado dirt, and French Mineral Earth Pigment on cotton

A painting made from dirt gathered from the edge of a highway along a canyon wall on our way to a river where my mama used to take us camping when we were little, dirt gathered in Colorado, a French Mineral sent to me by a friend, and earth pigment I bought from an Orthodox monk ten years ago. Made for all those returning to places that stir up the dusts of their origins, for all those who need friends to find the life they long for.
